1999C Anzac One Dollar Obverses

Two distinct sized obverses were used for the new Ian Rank-Broadley design. The smaller sized obverse seems to be the scarcer of the two.

The results of measuring each obverse are given below. All measurements are accurate to about +/- 0.04 mm. The Base Letter Distance is the distance from the base of the letters on one side of the obverse to that on the opposite side. As expected the effigy of the Small Obverse dollar is considerably smaller than that of the large obverse, which is actually about the same size as the small obverse on the (circulation) International Year Of Older Persons issue.
