2001 Federation One Dollar Obverses
Two distinct sized obverses have been found for the 2001 Federation dollar. The smaller obverse is common, with the larger possibly having been released only in some of the mint sets for the year.

The results of measuring each obverse are given below. All measurements are accurate to about +/- 0.04 mm. The Base Letter Distance is the distance from the base of the letters on one side of the obverse to that on the opposite side. As expected the effigy of the Small Obverse dollar is considerably smaller than that of the Large Obverse. The size of the letters is identical within experimental error.
The Large Obverse 2001 appears to be the same as the Small Obverse 1999.
